Kara Armas

Answering an unexpected call to service.

Kara Armas has been selected as the Republican nominee to serve as State Representative for Arkansas House District 8, pledging to be a fierce advocate for the district and to ensure continuity and momentum during the transition to the next General Assembly.

“Serving as State Representative was certainly not on my bingo card when this year began,” Armas said. “But sometimes we are called to serve in ways — and at times — we never expected. When that happens, you answer the call.”

“I will work hard, listen carefully, and defend the conservative values of the people of Benton County.”

Kara and her husband, State Representative-elect Brian Armas, first moved to Pea Ridge more than 23 years ago. Together they have built their life and raised their family in Northwest Arkansas — eight children and seven grandchildren strong — rooted in a shared commitment to faith, family, limited government, and property rights.

“We want our children and grandchildren to inherit a state where families can flourish, property rights are respected, government is limited, and our conservative values are protected,” she said.

Working in harmony to keep District 8 moving forward

Kara will work closely with her husband, State Representative-elect Brian Armas, who assumes the House District 8 seat in January. Rather than simply maintaining representation, this transition is an opportunity to build real momentum heading into the next legislative session.

“I have had the privilege of watching Brian work tirelessly for his constituents. I have watched him stand firmly for property rights and against government overreach, and I know how deeply he cares about the people of Benton County,” Kara said.

“These unusual circumstances have given us a unique opportunity. We will be a team — working day and night, in complete harmony. Fortunately, we have nearly 30 years of experience doing exactly that.”
